Thea Chase has built an amazing career focus in business development with a specialty in incubation and entrepreneurial education. She is the Director of the Telluride Venture Accelerator (TVA), located in Telluride, Colo. I have the honor of serving Thea and her organization as a Mentor for TVA and I’ve been so impressed with her vision around entrepreneurial education. Listen in today to hear Thea’s one-of-a-kind perspective on entrepreneurial incubation. TVA is a member of the Global Accelerator Network (GAN) and a mentor-driven seed accelerator.

TVA is a recent recipient of the US Small Business Administration’s Growth Accelerator award 1 of 50 chosen to receive this award in the US.

Among Chase’s many other achievements, she was instrumental in the founding of several entrepreneurial endeavors in California at Cal Poly Tech – initiating student accelerators programs in conjunction with bringing the Small Business Development Center to the school. Entrepreneurs have flown in from all over the world to partake in the TVA program – launching their businesses, participating in workshops and finding investors for their ideas. This is tied to the Pivot Moment. … Leadership training for the CEO – which was a bigger focus this year – and it includes training on communication skills. It’s critically important to have a strong CEO to really make sure that their team is working well together and be the leaders.
